Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I have good reason though...I started a new job Dec 27th and it has been pretty stressful trying to get settled in. The company is called Genova Diagnostics (www.gdx.net). I sell specialty lab tests like nutrition, food allergy, hormone tests, etc. The tests are pretty cool to talk about and the doctors are mostly Naturopaths so I really like calling on them. They are the nicest people and their offices are more like health spas then regular primary care clinics. My territory is a lot smaller than it was at Bayer - only Olympia to Bellingham. Trying to juggle work and being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Any of you working moms out there know exactly what I mean. It is insane! One one hand, you're so glad to be among adults again and proud of yourself that you still know how to hold a conversation that doesn't consist of "poo poo, pee pee, gaa gaa" but on the other hand, you feel like you are missing those important moments during the day....like, what if she does something adorable and I'm not there?? Ultimately, I have to remind myself constantly that this is the best thing for all of us and a few hours 3 or 4 days a week is not going to hurt her to be away. That's the best thing about this job...it is very flexible. I work from home still so I can take a field day when I need to. I found an awesome nanny who has a daughter a few months older than Kena that she just adores! She comes and picks up Kena and takes them to gymnastics, park, library, etc. She's always got something planned for them. This is nice because Kena needs that kind of socialization and seems to be thriving. We still go to Co-Op preschool together on Tuesdays which I love - feels like I'm still a part of the "mommy-group". All of that said...it is still very difficult and sometimes it feels like I'm juggling too many balls at once (I'm sure you know the feeling!) When you're juggling that many....one is bound to drop. Obviously, my blogging-ball dropped first - lol. But I will try and be better. Especially since I just spent the last 3 hours reading all of your posts (including the older ones I missed!) Blogs are so addicting!!! Okay - I'm going to try and post a video I took tonight of my little dancin' girl - she has BIEBER FEVER!!! (okay...so do I) XOXO

OMG, of course Kena is a good dancer! And she loves Bieber-we all do. Just think, this whole juggling thing only lasts a couple of years and then they are off to school so try not to worry too much, Kena is a happy, healthy little girl who gets to spend a lot more time with her Mom then a lot of kids out there do. x
