9-MONTHS OLD
Well, people, I am officially a big girl. Doc measured me on Monday and I am 31 inches long. That's right...31 inches! (100th percentile) (fyi: that is the size of a 16 1/2 month old according to my doctor) I am gonna be super tall!!! As for my weight...staying pretty consistent in the 75th percentile (20lbs 3oz) My favorite foods are still bananas but I am down with pizza and avocados. Pretty much everything my parents eat, I want a bite of!
I LOVE my white blankie that Aunt Michelle got me....I do not leave home without it. And my favorite game is playing "Where's the baby" with my blankie. I also love it when mommy hides behind doors and I have to find her. I also love when dad sings to me and lets me pull the celing fan cord over and over and over again. Bathtime is the best and I am now splashing everywhere and making a huge mess! It's awesome.
I am crawling EVERYWHERE now. And pulling myself up on anthing that looks sturdy (okay...even if it doesn't look sturdy, I give it a good try) I fall a lot but since I am gansta, I hardly ever cry about it. (I will beat bitches up someday)
Here are some pictures of me with my Grandma and Grandpa Michael when they came to visit for Grandpa's birthday (67 - man he's old!) There are also some pictures of me with my large friend Westyn (we're playing in her toybox - right after I learned how to stand by myself).
Hope to see you all soon! Love, The Kena-Bear

2 posts in one day!!! Can you believe it?
Thought I'd post a couple videos of my man. Watching him become a dad has been truly amazing. When I see him with Makena....my heart just melts. He gets up with her every morning (around 5:30am) and plays with her until she goes down for her nap. (This means mom gets to sleep in which makes everyone happy!) Watching them play is the best - her face just lights up. And when he comes home from work and hears..."daddy's home".....she starts kicking her feet and smiling...i love it! Makena is so lucky to have a dad who will give her so much love and attention. It will mean the world to her as she grows up. The father-daugher relationship is so important and I am so glad I chose a man who can give her all the love she will ever need. Love you, Dad! (not to mention he's a wicked dancer....check out the video yo)
8 months
Our little princess is semi-crawling (she gets distracted pretty easily as you can see from the video...not sure where she gets that?)
She turned 8 months old last week - can't believe how fast time goes by. Parents always say that but you really don't get it till you have a baby and watch them grow - sometimes I just want to stop time!
She is now waving like a pagent-girl (not going to pretend that doesn't make me proud) and clapping. She LOVES playing Peek-A-Boo and Where's the Baby with the her favorite blankie.
She went in the swing at the park for the first time today....as you can tell by the pictures - she wasn't sure at first if she liked it (she made her "worried face" that I think makes her look just like her dad!) Then she started swinging and thought it was pretty cool. Love all the faces she makes. So weird how sometimes she can look exactly like me and sometimes not at all. I could spend all day watching the different expressions she's learning how to make.
